      The Language with Ease is good for grammar, vocabulary, writing and oral speech. Answer keys can be bought on kindle. It is just a couple of hundred rupees. Better to spend now rather than spend thousands later in grade 12 and lakhs during competitive exams. It has a pair work component for oral english. You can practice conversations with that. For speaking tips please check out my video ua-cam.com/video/6DUFs7ykKQw/v-deo.html Good luck.

    Madam, Will adjuncts ( in sentence pattern) always be adverbs? Or are there any exceptions? Because most of the time we refer to it as adverbial adjuncts only.

    • @TheMindspringsEnglishTeacher
      @TheMindspringsEnglishTeacher 15 днів тому

      It could be adjectives or phrases and subordinate clauses too. Complements are not adjuncts. Most adjuncts are adverbial. View the video again.

    • @TheMindspringsEnglishTeacher
      @TheMindspringsEnglishTeacher 23 дні тому

      Find the verb first. Then you can find the subject if you ask who/what? to the verb. Once you find that, you will get your main clause. Ask the verb more questions, and you will get your adverbials. If you ask the noun subject which/what kind you will get your adjectivals. Try.

But it has a present relevance also,because we still living in that house.In that context how we reframe the sentence ma'am. Besides here we dont have a recent and distant past action, past perfect can not be used. Please help ma'am. when i was young, I used to play with a doll. Not I played with a doll. Please do not neglect the meaning when you change the tense.

    Hi ma'am, We use past perfect when we have 2 past action(recent past and far past).But in the sentence, when we were in the college,we had performed this song live.which action comes first? I am not able to differentiate 2 past actions here as recent and far. For me the sentence shows a finished time.now Im not in the college. Thats why my answer is we performed the song live when we were in the college. The phrase when we were in the college indicates the same idea that long ago ,such time indications we use with simple past. But maam has given me the answer had performed because we have 2 past actions. Please clarify my doubt,with this particular example

    • @TheMindspringsEnglishTeacher
      @TheMindspringsEnglishTeacher Місяць тому

      Depending upon which action you give the past tense to it will become recent. In spoken language you can get away with 2 past tenses, but in formal written langauge it will be marked wrong. If you can quote the source of your claim then I might consider, but if this is just your instinct, it can be pretty risky.

We start early so that students are completely adept when they reach the 12th. For many all these skills are new. If you join up we will go through them instead of working at the primary level. So do join up.
